Suptavajrasana is an Asana. It is translated as Reclining Thunderbolt Pose from Sanskrit.

The name of this pose comes from "supta" meaning "reclining", "vajra" meaning "thunderbolt" and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".


Benefits

  1. It helps open the ankles, knees, hips, and quadriceps (front thighs).

  • Be careful while doing this pose if you have ankle, knee or hip injuries, as well as lower back injuries.
