Rajahpravartini Vati is a pill preparation made with the ingredients in the Formulation Composition given below

Formulation composition

Kany¡s¡ra (API) Aloe barbadensis Dry Ext. 1 part
K¡s¢sa (Ka¿¢¿a API) - áuddha Green vitreol 1 part
R¡ma¶ha (Hi´gu API) - áuddha Ferula foetida Exd. 1 part
Ta´ka¸a API - áuddha Borax 1 part
Kanyak¡ (Kum¡r¢ (API)) - Svarasa Aloe barbadensis Lf. QS

Method of preparation

  • Take all ingredients of pharmacopoeial quality.
  • Treat Kaashisha to get Kaashisha - shuddha.
  • Treat Hingu to get Hingu - shuddha.
  • Treat Tankana to get Tankana - shuddha.
  • Wash and clean fresh Kumari and separate the pulp to obtain Kumari svarasa.
  • Dissolve the Kanyasara in Kumari svarasa.[1]

Description

  • Blackish grey coloured pills with a characteristic asafoetida odour and saline taste.

Storage

  • Store in a cool place in tightly closed containers, protected from light and moisture.

Therapeutic uses

  • Rajorodha (obstructed menstrual flow), Kastartava (dysmenorrhoea), artavavedaa (dysmenorrhoea).

Dose

  • 500 mg - 1 g per day in divided doses with Warm water/ Tila kvatha/Kulattha kvatha.
