Darunaj Aqrabi, Doronicum hookeri

Darawnaj is an herbaceous plant that grows in the higher altitudes of the Himalayas. It is used in Unani medicine.

Mode of Propagation

Seeds, Root divisions.

How to plant/cultivate

Seed - surface sow in a greenhouse from April to June and make sure the compost does not dry out. A diurnal temperature difference is beneficial to germination. The seed usually germinates in 10 - 20 days at 20°c [4]

Commonly seen growing in areas

Temperate area, Himalayas.
