Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the inner bark of several tree species from the genus Cinnamomum. Cinnamon is used in both sweet and savoury foods. The term cinnamon also refers to its mid-brown colour.

Mode of Propagation
Cuttings, Air layering, Seedlings.
How to plant/cultivate
The area for planting cinnamon is cleared and 50 cm x 50 cm x 50 cm size pits are dug at a spacing of 3 m x 3 m. They are then filled with compost and top soil before planting.[3]
Commonly seen growing in areas
Forests in moist, Well drained soils.
