Thottea siliquosa - Chakrani

Chakrani

Chakrani is a slender shrub found in the forests of the western ghats, especially along streams. The roots of Thottea siliquosa are used in the Indian systems of treatment, as curative for diarrhoea and dysentery, often administered along with lemon juice. [1] Have also recorded that a paste prepared from the plant with oil is effective against chronic sores and ulcers.
