Brassica napus

Brassica napus is an amphidiploid with one genome originating from Brassica oleracea. It is not known in the wild and probably originated in the eastern Mediterranean and West Asian region.

Required Ecosystem/Climate

Responds favorably to nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers, but can be injured by contact with the fertilizer. Use only low rates of fertilizers in drills where both seed and fertilizer empty into same tubes.[5]
